When not on air for our pals Absolute Radio, weekdays 1-4pm, Andy Bush is wondering what his favourite musicians are getting up to at home. Imagining what goes on behind closed doors the DJ has shared with Q a series of cartoons of rock’n’roll domestic bliss (above). Here he explains why.

The music I play on Absolute Radio every day is part of an ongoing conversation with our listeners about the artists, bands and songs that they’re passionate about. My show is all about peering behind the curtain and imagining what these stars and icons do away from the public eye – whether it’s Paul Weller waiting for the freezer to defrost or Elton John looking for his car keys – these are the little moments of pop/rock fantasy that capture imaginations. I see ‘Celebs at Home’ as an important investigative insight into how our cherished celebs live away from the glare of the spotlight and I’m chuffed that the Absolute Radio listeners have taken this to their hearts, sending me requests for pictures on a daily basis – I had a request from a someone this morning to draw ‘Sting putting the bins out’. Never a dull moment.”
