Maximo Park – Leave This Island

“I’ve always been a fan of Maximo Park, but when I heard the different sound in this new album I knew it would work really well at Standon this summer. Paul Smith’s energy is infectious.”

Ibibio Sound Machine – Let’s Dance

“I think this is one of the most exciting acts we’ve got on the bill and I think their African-infused electronica will really get the Standon crowd dancing on Sunday evening.”

Peace – Wraith

“I think Peace have got a great sound and live they really are another not to be missed on Sunday.”

The Fat White Family – Wild American Prairie

“I’d heard so much buzz about this band and their raucous live sets and people were telling me to book them before I’d even seen them. But then I went to a show and was sold. They’ll be up for Standon.”

East India Youth – Heaven, How Long (pictured)

“Recreating David Bowie’s Low for the post techno generation, East India Youth give us something different from the rest of the bill. I loved his debut album Total Strife Forever and I love this track from it.”

The Heavy – What Makes a Good Man?

“Other than Public Enemy I can’t think of another band on the bill who’ll bring so much energy to the stage. This track should put the crowd in a good mood.”

Toy – Endlessly

“I’ve booked them to play Standon three times in a row, so I guess you can count me as a huge Toy fan and this is my favourite track of theirs.”

Team Me – F Is For Faker

“There’s a load of less high-profile bands playing at Standon that are really worth checking out. This Norwegian band that I’ve been following for a year or so and this is a great new song from them”
