Rather than put her feet up at the weekend, Laura Mvula was at Abbey Road this weekend (1-2 March) to record an orchestral version of her debut album.

Created with conductor/ arranger Jules Buckley and the Metropole Orchrstra, the new version of Sing To The Moon was made with the Bowers & Wilkins Society Of Sound who will release the album as high-quality download in May.

In a quick break between takes, Mvula sat down with Q’s Paul Stokes to discuss the new version of the record, her compositional background, plans for a second album and much more. Listen now:
