Trio New Build released their new album, Pour It On, last week (20 October). Felix Martin, who is in the band with his fellow Hot Chip bandmate Al Doyle, tackled five questions to celebrate this exciting new-ness.
WHO would play you in the film of your life?

WHAT are you currently working on?
I have a really bad back at the moment – I think it might because I have recently being trying to do exercise after 20 year break. So I’m working on trying to get that sorted out – I’ll be out touring soon with new build and it’s not fancy like it is with hot chip – with new build it’s back to basics and that means lugging a bunch of heavy instruments cases all over the globe.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
I’m with Freud on this. I like to leave all that up to my unconscious.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
Pulling potatoes out of the ground and getting ready for a long winter. I have an attachment to the dream of a certain kind of self sufficiency that I associate with the 1970s and I haven’t given that up yet.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
I’m not exactly sure but if we have one, I’d like to play at the festival please.
