Of Monsters And Men are set to play this year’s Latitude Festival (14-17 July) – headlining the 6music Stage – while they also have a new single out, Wolves Without Teeth – see below. Therefore it seemed a good time time for Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir to answer five questions .
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
Maybe Léa Seydoux. We look nothing alike and it’s a bit random but I saw her in Blue Is the Warmest Colour and fell in love… or maybe Soko. She is pretty great, also being a musician she’d probably really get it. I have no idea why I’m just naming French women since I’m Icelandic.
WHAT are you currently working on?
I’m currently eating my breakfast and working very hard on it. We are also touring our newest album, Beneath The Skin. Right now we are in South America and I’ve had the most amazing time. Next up is South Africa and I’m currently just enjoying being on tour and trying to be a tourist whenever I can.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
Because I can’t help myself.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
Maybe I’ve opened a taco bar. Maybe I’ll live in Tokyo or Rio or New York or on the moon. Maybe I’ve written a soundtrack for a horror film. Maybe I’ll have three dogs and six cats and be kind of scary looking. I don’t know, ten years ago I had no idea I’d be touring South America so I’m ready for a surprise.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
When we start loving each other.
