WHO would play you in the film of your life?

I’ve been told there’s this actor called Nico Mirallegro who was in the recent Jimmy McGovern drama called Common. I read on Twitter that his mum always says “You’d make a good Tim Burgess” and I could see a bit of a resemblance. Besides Clint Eastwood is a bit too old.

WHAT are you currently working on?

Songs with Grumbling Fur, finishing a new Charlatans, doing the next book: Tim Book 2; there’s some more stuff with Peter Gordon. Lots of stuff floating around.

WHY do you do that thing you do?

I don’t really know any other way at the moment. In my 30s I learnt how to be myself very meticulously, now I’m doing it unconsciously.

WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?

Tim Peaks will have grown and will have been given a more room at Festival Number 6. The great thing about it is the profits go to the David Lynch foundation and I love the idea that the coffee keeps on giving. Perhaps we’ll have a TV ad by then too. Lawrence from Felt came up with an idea, I think it was I take my hair off and it was filled with coffee. I think that was the idea. Or we could do a Gold Blend couple for the Twitter generation, filmed by David Lynch. That will be good.

WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?

Tomorrow! And the day after.
