AGP releases a new EP Dark Abba tomorrow (20 May) – and Q has the premiere of its title track. The single, out on the growing Merseyside musical institution War Room Records, is his first track since last year’s How Could She Love You? EP.
“The EP as a whole is pretty varied, and is more of a record of a place in time than a stamp on my sound,” AGP tells Q. “It feels like a good progression from the first one, which was a bit more ambient. This is a little darker and progressive. Dark Abba, the track, is layered with parts pushing an pulling against each other which makes it feel quite static at times. But the melodies beneath are quite simple.”
