Festival Playlist – Portsmouth's Victorious Festival by the organiser

Portsmouth’s Victorious Festival is now in its fourth year, and will return this summer for two days on Southsea seafront on 29 and 30 August. Festival Director Andy Marsh has picked ten tracks to guide us through his favourites on this year’s bill. “We’re waving the flag for affordable, great value day festivals,” he declares. “The festival has grown from strength to strength and made itself a permanent fixture on the festival calendar.”

“The announcement of the Flaming Lips joining the bill has gone down a storm and they always put on a fantastic show during this song.”

“SFA are my personal favourite on the bill this year, Demons reminds me of a great time for music!”

“Dizzie Rascal was such a hit at last year’s festival and I think Tinie Tempah will have a similar impact. Tsunami is always amazing at any festival I have caught Tinie at.”

“The Subways have a fantastic following in Portsmouth, my old band played with them years back and this was a stand out tune!”

“These guys always bring the party, the live touring band make this song sound amazing.”

“Off their second album this was a great comeback track. Maximo headlined our second year and didn’t disappoint.”

“Another Portsmouth favourite, I remember the crowd singing this word for word when The Cribs headlined the second stage.”
