Johnathan Rice – Surfer’s Lament

“Yeah, this is my song. Shameless plug. It comes surfer approved though, as the great Chad Marshall sings back up on it. It’s a song I wrote about what terrible trouble my friends get into when there’s no waves and they’re bored.”

John Philips – Drum

“This is just some of the most beautiful but fucked-up music there is. And the lyrics are all scenes from the PCH. This is the dark heart of LA, crystallised.”

Kendrick Lamar – Money Trees

“I listened to this every day while driving to the beach last summer.”

Ride – Vapour Trail

“I know it may sound weird, but surfers BANG this song in LA all the time.”
