Former Primal Scream guitarist Robert “Throb” Young passed away at home in Hove at this weekend, it has been confirmed this morning (11 September).
Although there has been no official statement yet, the group’s publicist confirmed his death The Guardian after friends and fans started playing tribute to him on social media earlier today as rumours spread. A cause of death is yet to be announced.
Joining the band in the mid-80s as bassist, Throb switched to guitar for the band’s debut album and remained there until he left the group in 2006.
