Jonathan Hatchman (@JonHatchman) picks out the sounds and stories that have been making headlines over the last seven days… and presents them all as a handy playlist

This week Apple finally announced their plans to launch their own streaming service, Apple Music. The long rumoured competitor to the likes of Spotify, Deezer and Jay Z’s Tidal, was revealed on Monday at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco… and Drake was there too! The service will be with us by the end of the month.

Following the re-mastered reissue of Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti, tying in with the album’s 40th anniversary in February, the deluxe editions of the band’s final three LP’s (Presence, In Through The Out Door, and Coda) will be released in July, all re-mastered by guitarist Jimmy Page. Previously unreleased track, Sugar Mama, recorded in 1968 during their debut album sessions, has been posted online and and is set to appear as a bonus track on the re-issue of Coda.

The Black Keys frontman Dan Auberach has announced a new side project, The Arcs, who will release a 14-track album in September. Here’s Stay In My Corner from the record.
