“Back in 2013 we were scheduled to perform at The Great Escape to mark the release of our debut record Howlin. Unfortunately I ended up in a hospital bed back in Sydney and we were regrettably forced to cancel the show. It seems only right that we start our second album’s journey at the Great Escape this year,” the band’s Jono Ma told Q.

“Pumped to be playing the closing party on the Q Stage with our antipodean brethren the DMA’s.”

And the feeling is mutual according to DMA’s Tommy O’Dell, who added: “We’re really looking forward to playing the Q Party with our mates Jagwar Ma.”

The event is open to all festival goers with a valid ticket – three day passes are sold out, but a few single day tickets for this year’s festival are still available, head to Q Tickets now – but we recommend you get there early as it will be first come, first served on the door.

The party is the second Q event we’re putting on at this year’s festival, with Thomas Cohen and more playing the Q Stage at The Haunt on the evening of 19 May.
