Why now? Having made his debut with album Teens of Style last year, CSH returns with a new record this spring, Teens Of Denial, which includes this track. “It’s about fighting to hold one’s place in the crowd, to hold one’s drink,” says Toledo of the song. “It’s about shouting to be heard, but what’s the point, no one’s saying anything worth listening to. It’s about wanting to leave but not wanting to go home. The music is too loud.” If that hasn’t put you off gigs, Car Seat Headrest is currently playing shows around the globe, with his next European dates coming at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival.
