Who? Babyshambles man Drew McConnell other, slightly calmer outfit.

Why now? With a new album A Guide For The Perplexed out on 2 March, Drew McConnell is releasing this track as a free download to provide a taste of the record. It features a guest contribution from Strokes guitarist, budding producer and all round good guy Albert Hammond Jr, who by all accounts ended up on the song almost by accident “It was the night after some big show and I had no idea where I was let alone who I was, so I went to meet Drew,” he explains. “Turns out he was in this studio… of course we ended up recording. It was a real whirlwind of emotions. I remember thinking how wonderfully melodic and talented Drew was. It took me ages to play the triplets at the end of the song that he wanted – I was super nervous, but I loved every minute of it.” Helsinki meanwhile play their own “big show” at London’s 100 Club on the day of the LP’s release.
