Well the football season returns – early – in England and Wales this weekend, so we thought bust out this SFA terrace rouser, which was dedicated to the memory of striker Robin Friday and his “and his stand against the Man” on its release in 1996 (he even featured on the single cover). According former Oasis bassist Paul McGuigan he was the “best footballer you never saw” and wrote a book about him. Super Furry Animals meanwhile line-up a month of festivals, having played Forgotten Fields in Kent on Friday (7 August), they’re now set to move on to Green Man (20) and Victorious (29).
