Eels will release a new concert film of their gig last year at London’s Royal Albert Hall – and Q has an exclusive preview ahead of its release on 13 April.
Eels – Royal Albert Hall was filmed on 30 June last and features the full career spanning show, which ran to two encores… and a third, “phantom” encore.
In the exclusive clip you can watch below, here’s frontman Mark Oliver Everett – or E if you prefer – indulging in some onstage “banter” about the venue, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones and his desire to play the hall’s giant pipe organ which he was not allowed to play on this band’s first visit to the hall nine years beforehand… (clue he might have got his wish this time)
Watch the clip now.
